Pastor Mary grew up in Georgia, reside and served numerous churches in the Texas Annual Conference for 25 years. She has a heart and passion for God and serving people and leading them into a deeper walk with the Lord.
Her responsibilities at the church include training and strengthening an active Stephen Ministry Program, regular home and hospital visitation with our homebound members, leading Bible Study, preaching monthly, and participating in our outreach ministry at King’s Corner on Sunday and Tuesday nights. She also provides leadership in our “Faith Keepers” Women’s Ministry.
Mary’s educational training include a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia, a Master’s degree in Christian Education from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky, a Master’s degree in Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mary is married to Don Schmidt, and she has one married son Josh, who resides in California. Hobbies include reading, walking, entertaining and taking cruises.

Pastor Janet Forbes, Interim Senior Minister, is a clergy member (retired) of the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. She retired in 2016 after twelve years as the senior minister of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She has served congregations in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Nashville, Tennessee, as well as serving on the (legacy) Rocky Mountain Conference Cabinet. She is delighted to be serving the heart of Casper with the people of First United Methodist Church.
Her education for ministry includes a Bachelor of Arts in Music from East Carolina University, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Scarritt Graduate School, a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University, and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Leadership in the 21st Century from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
She is married to Bob Davis, a structural engineer (retired). She enjoys hiking, snow-shoeing, gardening, and fishing. Janet and Bob enjoy pulling their trailer through the National Parks of Canada and the United States.

Diane Lynn grew up in West Covina, CA where she studied music at Cal Poly Pomona University receiving a BA in piano. Diane attended Christ Lutheran Church and School for elementary and middle school. There she studied piano, organ and violin. Diane occasionally played piano and organ for church services while in middle school. Diane attended Western Christian High School. There she joined the musical ministry group, Hilltop Faith. She accompanied and sang on this ministry team all four years traveling throughout the west, Hawaii and Canada. During her years of high school and college, Diane worked with Martin J. Nystrom, composer of "As the Deer Panteth" and "Come to the Table" as well as many other worship songs for Hosanna! Integrity at Faith Community Church in Covina, CA. Diane has served as Choir director and director of music at several churches in California as well as in Michigan. Diane has raised money for The Angels Program and The Wyoming Medical Center by producing the program "Seven Daffodils: A Salute to Gifted and Courageous Women". Diane also directed the contemporary worship service at Our Saviour's Lutheran in Casper, WY. There she wrote, produced and recorded "Setting 16" for the Lutheran church using singers and musicians from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
