In addition to giving away all of our Easter and Christmas offerings, First United Methodist Church Casper donates a tithe (10%) of all large gifts and bequests it receives. This policy was implemented when we received a bequest of one million dollars in 2002. As above, the money was given to organizations outside the church. In this case $100,000 was split evenly between 10 compassionate organizations in the Casper community.
